Expert Witness Training Program (EWTP)

The Expert Witness Training Program equips individuals with country-conditions, medical, psycho-social, and/or topical expertise with the understanding and tools necessary to harness their knowledge for use within immigration advocacy. 

This program teaches potential expert witnesses about the immigration process in the US, how immigration courts and proceedings progress, and the role of experts within these processes. The program then tailors training modules to each individual to equip participants with the knowledge of how to utilize their work and experiences on behalf of immigrant communities. Participants can opt for a general training on the role of experts or a more specialized course that integrates TIGV-specific concerns for immigrant communities.
